About Papalucci's

Established in 1990.

Situated in the heart of Belmont Shore, Papalucci's brings the taste of Naples to Long Beach. Owner, Dan Tarrantine, who had always had a passion for food, calls it "home cooking made simple" attributing many of his made-from-scratch recipes to his Grandmother. After experiencing success with Tarrantino’s Pizza in Pasadena, Papalucci’s followed suit, quickly becoming known for its simple, classic recipes, the casual dining restaurant has continued to consistently serve up some of the best Italian food in Long Beach. The checkered tablecloths and open kitchen enhance the casual dining experience, giving the feeling of being at home and eating with family. For 24 years, the kitchen staff of Lou, Miguel and Macario have greeted and put smiles on the faces of  those who come in to enjoy such items as the famous Pepe Salad, garlic balls or Grandma Tony's Special Pizza. Everything is cooked, fresh to order and the reasonably priced menu includes an array of pasta and chicken dishes, including Chicken Cacciatore, Parmesan and Piccata, Carbonara, Lasagna, Ravioli and Baked Ziti; all with Grandma's special Marinara. Tararntine simply puts it, "Because food, simply prepared and shared with family and friends is one of the most basic and satisfying pleasures in life. All that's needed is a warm heart, a keen eye for the best ingredients and a sense of adventure to lead you to a place at our table."
